Toledo - One of the old capitals of Spain

Hello all! Again I apologize for the quantity of blog posts that I'm throwing at you all but think of it as me helping everyone to procrastinate just a bit more! =]

Anyways, on October 27 IES had its last excursion! We all went to Toledo. Toledo is about an hour south of Madrid so about three and a half to four hours away from Salamanca. Toledo also is where swords for Spain have been produced for a longggg time. Thought about buying one but customs and getting it to the airport in the first place would've been a little tough!

The first part of the tour was in the bus and we took it up to the top of a hill on the other side of a river to overlook the city and take some pictures. Then we went on a walking tour around the city and saw a sword factory and then were given some free time to wander around and then we headed back to Salamanca!

The inside of an old synagogue

The inside of a convent I believe? They never really told us what it was...just kind of took us inside

Said bridge that leads into the city

After the visit of the city we had free time and me and my friends decided to get lost for fun

...we wound around the streets up on top of a big hill...

...till we found a cool lookout point.

OK! That's all for now!! More to come this week or next about when my mom came to visit!! =]
